    Resurgence / Independence age







    The resurgance of the spiritual and cultural traditions of the Mountain Jews community is ongoing. Many synagogues of Caucasian Jews have been opened around the world in recent decades.  Functioning of the schools of religious education were recommenced. The World Congress of Mountain Jews was held. The Zakharyaev brothers founded the International Charitable Fund STMEGI in 2001. The world's first Museum of Mountain Jews was opened  in the Red Village in 2020.
