    A delegation led by Rabbi Stuart Weinblatt, Chairman of the Zionist Rabbinic Coalition, visited the Museum of Mountain Jews.

    A delegation led by Rabbi Stuart Weinblatt, Chairman of the Zionist Rabbinic Coalition, visited the Museum of Mountain Jews.

    The guests were briefed on the history of the museum, its activities, and its role in the life of the community. The delegation learned about the settlement history of the Red Village (Krasnaya Sloboda) and became acquainted with the material heritage of the Caucasus Jews. Rare historical exhibits were showcased to the guests.

    The members of the delegation also visited the functioning synagogue in the Red Village. Mr. Pesach Isakov, the Chairman of the community, introduced the guests to the history of the synagogue and the life of the community.

    The Red Village settlement remains a center of attraction for Jews, enduring as a small Jewish enclave with its own rich history.
