On the eve of May 9 — Victory Day over Fascism, and 26 Iyar (May 13) — the "Day of Salvation and Liberation," which is an important date in the Jewish calendar, the Honorable Ralf Horlemann, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to our country, along with embassy staff, visited the Museum of Mountain Jews.

During the visit, the guests were informed about the hardships and massacres faced by Mountain Jews living in various parts of the world during World War II, as well as the deep scars that this bitter war left on the lives of surviving Jews and subsequent generations. As part of the visit, the victims of the genocide were also commemorated with respect, prayers were recited for their souls, and a memorial candle was lit.

Additionally, the embassy representatives were briefed on the museum's activities and its role in the cultural and historical life of the Jewish people, and the exhibits preserved here were displayed. An introductory tour of Krasnaya Sloboda (Red Village) was also organized for the guests.
